Applying positive psychology
to enhance performance

With more than 30 years of leadership experience in both large (Fortune 50) and small organizations, Janet retired in 2007 from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts as Director of Prevent & Wellness to pursue her passion to help individuals and worksites adopt the principles of positive psychology for enhanced performance and inspiration through life's challenges. While still working full-time, Janet took care of her husband Charles during the five years he fought a rare neurological disease. In her book, Finding Meaning with Charles, she wrote about how they strived to maintain a positive attitude throughout.
Janet is the immediate past chair of the Board of Directors for the national Foundation for PSP/CBD and Related Brain Diseases. She is also on the Board of Trustees for the Employee Ownership Foundation. Janet is a former President of the Association for Worksite Health Promotion and has a Master's degree from Georgia State University.
At this luncheon event at the Cumberland Club located at 116 High St. in Portland, MWN members can share their business literature. Both members and guests may provide a 15-second introduction, and this is an excellent opportunity to network with and meet between 20 and 30 other business women.
The cost to attend is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. We love having guests and prospective members!
Free parking is available at the Cumberland Club parking lot. The Club's access is on Spring Street and directions are here:
Your registration is a commitment to attend, and a meal will be ordered in your name. If you need to cancel your registration, please give us at least a 24-hour notice. You may find someone to take your place, but please let us know who that will be. Early notification is important, because we may be able to find a replacement for you from our waiting list, if we have one.
However, in the event you have to cancel and both parties are unable to provide a replacement, you will be invoiced for the registration fee plus a $5.00 administrative fee.
We look forward to seeing you!
